Proceedings

The proceedings of our upcoming 15th ISAO meeting will be presented in independent volume of the journal, Zoosymposia. Zoosymposia is a peer-reviewed book series currently indexed in Web of Science Core Collection. It was started as a sister series of Zootaxa and uses the same format familiar to many zoologists.

The editorial policy for the proceedings of our symposium is as follows:

Publication

The proceedings of ISAO 2022 will be presented in an open access / on-line only version of the journal, Zoosymposia; no printed version will be made.

Cost

Due to budgetary constraints, and facing significant cost increases, the organisers cannot offer open access to your papers. The contribution of authors who would like open access to their publication will only be known once the conference is over and the remaining budget is known. For information, the cost of open publication is USD 20 per page.

This aspect will be discussed among participants during the business meeting at the end of the conference.

Color printing

There is no charge for color photo/figures for submission.

Manuscripts

Manuscripts submitted to the ISAO2022 editorial committee must follow all editorial policies presented in the instructions to authors. Manuscripts that do not follow the editorial policies will be returned to the authors without review, and may not be reconsidered or accepted for inclusion if first sent to the editorial committee near the submission deadline.

Each author must secure competent editorial collaboration from one (even 2) reviewers [relatively fluent in English] prior to submission of their manuscript(s) to the editorial committee of ISO15 proceedings for consideration. Authors are also asked to avoid contacting the editorial committee to provide early editorial assistance for pre-submission manuscripts so as not to overload them with excessive work.

Submission deadline

The manuscript should be sent to ISAO editor by no later than 23 December 2022.
