Logo 15th ISAO 2022

The logo was designed by Mado Berthet (RBINS) and is inspired by the architectural movement "Art Nouveau" led in Belgium at the end of the 19th century by a.o. Victor Horta.

We found that the morphology of an aquatic oligochaete allowed it to fit particularly well into an "Art Nouveau" inspired representation, recalling the forms, curves and arabesques representative of this movement.

Numerous "Art Nouveau" architectural realisations can be seen in Belgium and particularly in Brussels where some can be visited.

There is also a museum in Brussels dedicated to Horta.
